Maggie's first 5K

Hey everyone

I was able to witness and run with the product of will, and preparation yesterday as my wife Maggie completed her first race, the Seven Bridges 5k in Woodridge, IL.. With months of training she was able to complete the 5K course in 37 minutes give or take a few seconds. Jen was there running with her during the race to keep her company and give her the advice needed to make it to the finish.

It was a great sunny, windless day to run. The support of the volunteers was excellent and the post race food buffet was great and filling. Thanks to the organizers of this race, the Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce.

Way to go Mag and Jen!

post shamrock run

Hey everyone

The shuffle was a success! No injuries, a great running partner, and a great post race meal that included some Amstel Light! I'm not sure about the corral style but since I'm slow as ever, I don't think it matters. The course was a little different which was fun.

- Fleet Feet has a whole lot going on. The Ravenswood 5K is coming up and I hope we can max out the race as the money goes to the All Saints food pantry and Amundsen High School health center. Just click on the link and sign up.

Happy running!

I am all signed up for the Shamrock Shuffle this year. It will be held on March 30 of this year. I think it is already sold out.
