Hey
Running will be on hold for a week or so. I strained both hamstrings cleaning my basement after flooding.

Recent Purchase at Fleet Feet
Hey
Last week Maggie and I went to Fleet Feet and she bought some new running shoes. We bought the Brooks Trance 12. Fleet Feet was very kind in allowing us to return some compression socks that we had bought in January but didn't use which allowed us to purchase these shoes. They also deserve kudos for allowing us to feed Abby while there.
Happy Running!

This Morning's Run
Today I ran 3 miles at 5:30 in the morning. I am happy I got it done. My day is less stressful not only because I ran, but also because I don't have to worry about getting the run in today. This allows for Maggie to have a free evening and also more time to do other things.
I did think about the Boston Marathon. That is a bummer. Thoughts and prayers to all who were involved in any capacity. Good always comes out in tragedy. I hope I can do my part in making that happen.

Good run today
I ran the 2.5 mile course today. It was already 50 degrees. There wasn't much wind. It felt good to run twice in the last three days. It also felt good to finally get out of bed at the right time. The run helped organize the day's thoughts and plans. All in 30 minutes:).
I received a running log in the mail from the parent company of Runners World for subscribing to the magazine. If anyone wants it, let me know.

First week of 2012 in the books!
Hey
This week, I was able to run 5 miles and bike for 40 minutes. I also was able to spend 45 minutes attempting some beginning yoga poses.
Next week I plan to add another 3.5 miles to my running total. This is to work up to the St. Louis Half Marathon in April.

Maggie's first 5K
Hey everyone
I was able to witness and run with the product of will, and preparation yesterday as my wife Maggie completed her first race, the Seven Bridges 5k in Woodridge, IL.. With months of training she was able to complete the 5K course in 37 minutes give or take a few seconds. Jen was there running with her during the race to keep her company and give her the advice needed to make it to the finish.
It was a great sunny, windless day to run. The support of the volunteers was excellent and the post race food buffet was great and filling. Thanks to the organizers of this race, the Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce.
Way to go Mag and Jen!
